UCCBI is not creedal by nature.  We do not actually espouse any creed or denomination.   But we do recognize that certain creeds do encapsulate Christian doctrine quite distinctly thus we puvlically agree with the Nicene Creed.  Yet this creed nor any other is used as a governing document or supercedes scripture. Rather  UCCBI is essentially a Sola Scriptura organization.  That means that we hold that the Bible is the ultimate guide for God's will that we have on Earth- and that at no time will God violate His holy word thru contradictory actions, speech, or deeds.  As such we are able to readily identify God's purpose for our lives in the holy Bible.

We agree with the Nicene Creed.

The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, light from light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary
and became truly human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father
[and the Son],
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic(universal) and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Freedom of Choice
As part of our mission we are obligated to teach biblical truths. In doing so we advocate freedom of choice even as God gave Adam and Eve freedom of choice so we will never stand between you and God. Nor, will we force you to believe something contrary to what you want to believe. Though if you promote obvious heresy or blasphemy  contrary to the essential foundations of Christianity we will break off fellowship until such time you repent of your blasphemes.

"In essentials unity, In nonessentials liberty."

God
God is the creator of all that is being eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent whose fullness is beyond all human conceptions.  God is revealed to us in scripture as the Trinity.  One God in Three Persons, each Person equal, autonomous, divine, sharing in the Godhead equally, and individual with specific work and functions. All three Equally God, Seperate in Person, Unified in Essence.

God the Father
The First person of the Trinity. The awesome Being whose will and intent are the foundations of which all existence rests.  God the Father establishes the design and will for creation.  His is best known for His immense Love and Righteousness.

God the Son, Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah, born of the Virgin Mary who died for the sins of all mankind as our loving and merciful Savior. He was then resurrected and ascended to heaven and will at the appointed time return to earth to establish the Kingdom of God. He is deserving of great Honor, Glory, and Reverence of which every knee should bow.   He is the second Person in the Trinity.

God the Spirit, Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is our Comforter promised by Jesus Christ, that lives inside of us, guiding in all truths to salvation. Furthermore the Holy Spirit is actively controlling, maintaining, and supporting the God the Father's and God the Son's creations, will, and operations of God and His Work.  The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity.

The Bible
The Bible is the infallible inspired word of God containing his plan of salvation for mankind and is the foundation of knowledge and the final authority of faith, life, truth, and happiness.  The word of God is Continuous, Inerrant, Complete, and True, in its original texts.  This does not apply all modern translations.

Salvation
Salvation is the deliverance from the bondage of sin, our atonement to God with the assurance of eternal life. Salvation is a free unmerited gift from God through faith in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross for our sins.

Grace
Grace is the free, unmerited gift of eternal life which God gives to those who have a change of heart and start a new life in Christ. Through faith in Christ we are always under the umbrella of grace. Futhermore Grace is also the Great Work of Providence (sustaining life, rain, food, love, peace, justice, beauty, health, etc) that extends even to all of creation believers and unbelievers alike.

Christianity
Christians are people acting in faith who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and in whom the Holy Spirit lives inside creating a new birth. This new birth lives a different life by following the footsteps of Christ.  A Christian's fruit or works have no effect on his salvation but rather they serve as a witness that he is a Christian.

Ministry
We believe all Christians have varying callings from God, and are given spiritual gifts to fulfill their callings. Minister ordination is a spiritual gift and calling directly from God, and is not to be taken lightly. God choses to call who he will, or to use any instrument, or way He chooses, to accomplish his will.

(Note:  Although God May do anything He chooses, He will not violate His Word (the Bible) or Encourage acts of Immorality or Evil.)

Why we founded United Christian Church and Bible Institute

1.  Need: There are no free Bible Schools in this part of the Country.

Response: Provide education for the christian into a solid foundation of doctrine.

2. Need: Bible Schools are cost prohibitive in many cases.

Response: provides an affordable means of residency training in biblical doctrine.

3. Need: New ministers of the faith are dwindling.

Response: Encourages the student to become ministers for Christ. By educated and Ordaining.

4. Need: The world needs Churches open 24 / 7 for Evangelizing to the Lost.

Response: To establish an online presence (an eventually local ministries) to reach unsaved and minister to the saved. I.E. Preaching  the Gospel clearly: calling for a repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for our sins. Teaching clearly salvation is by grace thru faith, not works lest any man should boast.

5. Need: Depression, confusion, and family breakups are prevailent in this area.

Response: Providing a much needed biblical counseling program for this area.  To be provided at low cost or free to needy people.

6. Need: People are lonely and feel forgotten.

Response: Providing fellowship and encouragement to local Christians, helping them develope their on ministry.  Even a cookie ministry (a little old grannie baking cookies and sharing them with hurting people) is a powerful tool to God!  It is getting people working WITH God to ease the pains of this world.

7. Need: Societal standards are falling, some have said this generation may even be becoming amoral or sociopathic. Completely not understanding the immorality of their actions thus not comprehending the pain that results.

Response: Preaching the message of God's work! His righteousness and our relative sinfulness, and the call to repent of our sins.

In summary in our Bible Institute, we seek to produce ministers for Christ!  Pastors, Chaplains, Evangelists, Writers, Artists, Counselers, Coaches, Bakers, Missionaries, Teachers, Exhorters, etc...   In other words we train you in the solid doctrines of Christianity.  When you have completed your courses, and demonstrated your understanding through testing, and demonstrated a mature christian character; then we will ordain you.  You then decide how its best to use it!

In our Church we seek to provide opportunity for fellowship, worship, evangelizing, exhortation, instruction, guidance, counseling, family strengthening, and ministry opportunities.
